Rosenwald Elementary/ Middle School is a student- centered school committed to developing the whole child. Our school is located in the historic, small town of Society Hill. At Rosenwald, our goal is to maintain a learning environment where students excel academically and develop their talents and interests.”
With a small student body, Rosenwald’s principal, master teacher and career teachers are able to devote extraordinary amounts of energy and attention to the individual needs of our students. To balance the challenging curriculum and develop the whole child, Rosenwald students are able to participate in numerous extra- curricular and character building activities.
With the commitment to sound instruction and thus, increased academic achievement, REMS is embracing proven strategies and putting forth the necessary effort to be a premier school. We continue “Soaring to Greater Heights Because Learning Has No Limits”.

State Accountability: In 2012, the Rosenwald Eagles earned an A on the ESEA standards (AYP). In the state accountability system we received the following Report Card Ratings:

A K-8 school, Rosenwald is the only one of its kind in the Darlington County School District. It offers the best of a community school atmosphere with great community support, parent interest, and school pride.
